The concept of "God", as interpreted by man, has been so varied throughout the ages, that the Satanist simply accepts the definition which suits him best. Man has always created his gods, rather than his gods creating him. God is, to some, benign - to others, terrifying. To the Satanist "God" - by whatever name he is called, or by no name at all - is seen as the balancing factor in nature, and not as being concerned with suffering. This powerful force which permeates and balances the universe is far too impersonal to care about the happiness or misery of flesh-and-blood creatures on this ball of dirt upon which we live. 嚴格來說，撒旦教是有不可知論與無神論的。拉維揚派更是指出所謂的神應該是一股維持宇宙平衡、運作的強大力量，而非一個在乎這顆土球上億萬分之一生命痛苦與否的擬人化神靈存在。 這就是為何我不再那麼崇尚拉維揚撒旦教，自從安東·拉維過世之後，撒旦教會被布蘭奇·巴頓奪走，並轉手將大祭司委任給彼得·吉爾摩夫婦，整個撒旦教會就越發故步自封，整天宣揚自身的正統性，在推特上變得跟網路Troll一樣，四處抨擊其他新興撒旦教派，也甚少有公眾性質的活動，變成一種網路上收錢分發會員卡的團體，現在更是直接否定自己教派聖典的《撒旦聖經》內容。 對此實在感到悲哀。
