1. Self-righteous (adj.) 自以為是
Self-righteous parents who constantly compare their parenting style to others can create anxiety in their children.
那些總愛拿自己教養方式和別人比較、自以為是的父母，可能會讓孩子產生焦慮。
2. Condescending (adj.) 居高臨下的、高高在上的
The wealthy guest spoke to the hotel staff in a condescending tone, as if they were beneath him.
那位有錢的客人對飯店員工說話時語氣高高在上，好像別人都低他一等。
3. Preachy (adj.) 愛說教的
My uncle gets so preachy at family dinners that everyone dreads sitting next to him.
我叔叔每次家庭聚餐時都很愛說教，現在大家都很怕坐在他旁邊。
4. Sanctimonious (adj.) 偽善的、道貌岸然的
I don't mind being corrected, but the sanctimonious way she does it makes me want to avoid her completely.

She always tries to take the moral high ground in arguments, as if her opinion is the only ethical one.
