✅ Mindful calligraphy emphasizes experiencing the present moment through writing.
✅ Mindful stillness is a form of altered consciousness that cannot be directly practiced—but the process of calligraphy provides a setting for mental cultivation.
✅ When one concentrates fully on each stroke, feeling the contact between pen and paper, and tuning into physical and emotional sensations, a heightened state of self-awareness can emerge. This awareness helps writers recognize the roots of bodily, emotional, and spiritual signals. In other words, focused writing can lead to a flow state—marked by loss of time and space perception, joy, and the dissolution of self-awareness.
✅ In a world saturated with information and technology, staying aware of each moment equips teachers with the insight and strategy necessary to respond effectively to diverse learners.
🐝 Course Details & Notes
✅ Objective: To understand mindful calligraphy, promote calm writing, and cultivate mind-body awareness through focused handwriting.
✅ Implementation: A calligraphy art workshop led by young calligrapher Dr. Guan-Jie Lin, introducing how mindful calligraphy can be applied in the teaching field under the new curriculum guidelines.
