很多人學英文時，都知道 Although、Though、Even though 可以翻成「雖然、儘管」，但母語人士其實會根據正式程度、語氣強弱，以及句子位置來選擇不同的字。 如果用錯，不一定會文法錯，但聽起來就是不夠自然！ 一、Although：最正式的「雖然」 Although 常見於： > 學術論文 > 商業信件 > 新聞報導 > 正式簡報 它表示「雖然……但是……」，語氣中性且正式。 ⭐放在句首 Although the market was unstable, our profits remained steady. 儘管市場不穩定，我們的獲利仍然保持穩定。 Although it was raining, we decided to continue the event. 儘管正在下雨，我們仍決定繼續活動。 ⭐放在句中 The management approved the proposal, although they had reservations. 管理層通過了提案，儘管他們仍有所保留。 She accepted the offer, although the salary wasn't ideal. 她接受了這份工作，雖然薪水並不理想。 ❗ Although 常見錯誤❗ ① Although + But（不能一起用） 因為 Although 本身就有轉折的意思，所以後面不能再加 but。 ❌ Although she had finished the work, but she waited for her boss. ⭕ Although she had finished the work, she waited for her boss. ② Although 不放句尾 ❌ The data was inconclusive, although. ⭕ The data was inconclusive, though.   情境① ：公司會議 Manager: Why do you think we should continue this project? 經理： 你為什麼認為我們應該繼續這個專案？ Emily: Although the market has become more competitive, our research shows that customer demand is still increasing. Emily： 雖然市場競爭變得更加激烈，但我們的研究顯示，顧客需求仍然持續增加。 Manager: That's a convincing point. Let's move forward with the proposal. 經理： 這是個很有說服力的觀點，我們就繼續推動這份提案吧。

二、Though：最口語、最自然 Though 的意思和 Although 幾乎相同，但語氣比較輕鬆，因此非常常見於： > 日常聊天 > 社群媒體 > Line 訊息 > 口語對話 ⭐ 放句首 Though I was tired, I still made time for the gym. 雖然很累，我還是抽空去健身。 ⭐ 放句中 I liked the restaurant, though the service was a little slow. 我喜歡那家餐廳，雖然服務有點慢。 ⭐放句尾（超級常見！） The movie was too long. The acting was good, though. 這部電影太長了，不過演技很好。 It's expensive, though. 不過它真的很貴。 📌 注意：放句尾時，前面通常要加逗號。 ❌ It was cold though. ⭕ It was cold, though.   📌 Don't confuse it with "as though"❗ as though = 彷彿、好像 這已經不是「雖然」的意思了。 He talks as though he knows everything about the project. 他講得好像自己什麼都知道。 She smiled as though nothing had happened. 她笑得彷彿什麼事都沒發生。   情境② ：朋友聊電影 Kevin: Did you enjoy the movie last night? Kevin： 你喜歡昨天晚上的電影嗎？ Amy: Yes, I did. It was a little too long, though. Amy： 喜歡啊，不過就是有點太長了。 Kevin: I know! The ending was amazing, but it probably could have been thirty minutes shorter. Kevin： 我知道！結局真的很精彩，但整部片大概可以再短三十分鐘。 Amy: I totally agree. I'd still recommend it to my friends, though. Amy： 我完全同意，不過我還是會推薦給朋友。 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------   三、Even though：語氣最強的「即使、儘管」 Even though 和 Although 的差別在於： 它會強調： 「即使在這種情況下，結果還是如此。」 因此讓步意味最強，也最能表現「出乎意料」。 > Even though the storm was heavy, the plane landed safely. 儘管暴風雨非常猛烈，飛機仍然安全降落。 > She signed the paper even though she hadn't finished reading it. 她甚至還沒看完文件，就簽了名。 > Even though he studied all night, he didn't pass the exam. 即使他讀了一整晚，還是沒有通過考試。   情境③：考試結果 David: I heard Sarah didn't pass the final exam. Is that true? David： 我聽說 Sarah 期末考沒有及格，是真的嗎？ Lisa: Yes. Even though she studied every night for almost two months, she still didn't pass. Lisa： 是啊，即使她幾乎每天晚上都讀書，持續了將近兩個月，她還是沒有通過考試。 David: That's really surprising. I thought she was one of the best students in the class. David： 真令人意外，我一直以為她是班上最優秀的學生之一。 Lisa: She'll probably do much better next time. Lisa： 我相信她下次一定會表現得更好。
