👍情境一：意願表達
will用於指現在的意願，would用於指過去的意願
He will do anything except cook.
他什麼都願做，就是不願做飯。
I'll do anything that I can.
我願做我能夠做的任何事。
He would do it, though I told him not to.
雖然我叫他不要做，可是他偏要做。
He asked if I would show him the way.
他問我是願意可以給他帶路。
👍情境二：表示拒絕
否定式won’t和wouldn’t可以表示拒絕。won’t用於現在或將來，wouldn’t用於過去。
won’t用於現在或將來：
If he won’t listen to me, I can’t help him.
如果他不肯聽我的話，我就不能幫他的忙。
They won't lend us any more money.
他們不願再借給我們錢了。
wouldn’t用於過去：
He wouldn't come ,he said he was too busy.
他不願來，他說他太忙。
I offered Jimmy some milk, but he wouldn’t drink it.
我讓吉米喝牛奶，但他不肯喝。
👍情境三：徵求意見
will和would用於徵求意見，此時的would並不表示過去，而是為了使語氣更委婉。
Would you …? 比Will you …?更婉轉
Will you send this letter for me, please?
請你替我把這封信寄出去行嗎？
Would Sunday night suit you? 星期天晚上適合你嗎?
為了使語氣更客氣、更委婉，有時可用won’t和wouldn’t
Won’t you take off your coat? 你要不要把大衣脫掉?
Wouldn’t it be better to paint it green? 把它漆成綠色的會不會更好?
👍情境四：表示真理
使用will來表示真理(不變事實)
Oil will float on water.
油總是浮在水面上。
If it's made of wood it will float.
這要是木材做的就能浮在水面上。
👍情境五：表示習慣
其中will表示現在的習慣，would表示過去的習慣。
He will always complain if he gets the opportunity. 他一有機會總要抱怨。
He would spend hours on the telephone.他一打電話往往就是幾個小時。
👍情境六：強烈要求
用will表示要求：一定，必須
You will report to me afterward. 你稍後一定要向我報告。
Will you be quiet!安靜點兒！
👍情境七：用於推測
will用於談論現在；would用於談論過去，
但也可用於談論現在，只是語氣比較委婉、比較不確定。
This will be the house you’re looking for. 這大概就是你找的那所房子了。
I think he would accept the invitation. 我想他會接受邀請的。
He will be waiting downstairs now. 他現在應該在樓下等吧!
