Dr Ward AI is a new technology whose effects are still largely unknown. Although many people are using it, we still don’t know what the long term impact on society will be. In this class I will be inviting you to think about what the effects on humans or society of AI will be. Please post your ideas and let me know what you think. Response A: Martin I think the effects of AI will be like the Industrial Revolution and it will completely transform the way we work, and the way we use our leisure time. For example, in the future AI will do our work for us and many jobs will become unnecessary. AI will also be used in entertainment, for writing movies, games and songs. Response B: Susan I think another way that AI will revolutionize our lives is in the way that we interact with technology. Now we use a keyboard and a mouse to interact with technology, but in the future I think we will just talk to our computers and they will react with us.
