WHO也明確指出：
1. 沒有任何醫療檢測可以看出到底有沒有過性行為。 （As shown in a systematic review on virginity testing, the examination has no scientific merit or clinical indication – the appearance of a hymen is not a reliable indication of intercourse and there is no known examination that can prove a history of vaginal intercourse.）
2. 「處女檢測」個反人權、會影響到患者短期與長期身心與社交健康的行為 （the practice is a violation of the victim’s human rights and is associated with both immediate and long-term consequences that are detrimental to her physical, psychological and social well-being.）
3. 錯誤檢測觀念是個對社會、文化、政治有害的問題（The harmful practice of virginity testing is a social, cultural and political issue.）
