We are in the process of building [XXX] model. This model is used by a variety of teams to make [x, y, z] decisions – all of which impact [BUs]. It’s the "backbone" for all [a, b, c] decisions and having accurate [BUs] information will ensure that we are [doing something] effectively.
我們在建構商業模型時，常常會需要跨部門蒐集資料，但有些部門並不是那麼好合作或窗口根本不認識你，因此進度常常會卡住，不得已時就會需要大老闆出面。這段是擷取+改寫自多年前一封由我們大老闆去別的事業群要資料的信件開頭， 大意是說我們在做對全公司有利，也對你部門有利的專案，他甚至用了"backbone"這各字來強調這個模型會是在做很多決策的核心、骨幹，這個字可以好好學起來。
