#問 關係副詞與關係代名詞的差別

以前在學的時候
in which = where
the thing which = what
常見的例句就是
This is the place where he was born.
也可以說是
This is the place in which he was born .
我印象中關係副詞還有"說明"的用法
比如說 :
The new coffee shop is advertised as a place where you can find yourself
feeling at ease zero stress.
我在網路上有看到這個觀念
關係副詞既然稱作副詞，表示它在形容詞子句中扮演副詞角色(同時身兼連接詞功能) --> 其後必須是一個完整的子句(基本上語意完整，且不缺完整的主詞或受詞)。
所以我自己歸類就是 ，用來當"說明"的時候關係副詞後面句子都是"完整的句子
不知道這樣解釋是否正確呢?
