於是我馬上說 “ no no no! you please ”

You can sit down here,it’s ok!!!(然後可以用手指著那個位置,配上一個燦笑)(肢體語言和臉部表情其實也很重要!

像是他說,you can take the seat, I will stand
你可以回他說, thank you, but it's okay you can take the seat

如果要改可以改成 no, no, no! you go ahead!

Chinglish

You give me sit down

2
你就說
I’m good, thank you.
2
我會用I’m good同樓上

in this case, you can use 'after you'
We don't use 'please' commonly in spoken English

B14 never hear people using “you first” I’ve only hear of “after you.”

B15 sry i was on autopilot lol
ur right, it's 'after you'

B14 but I always use please when I ask for something
Also actually can use either ‘you first’ or ‘after you’
Like someone said ‘you first.’
The person may reply ‘no, after you.’

B18 I only use it when asking for sth in shops or public occasions.
Def not using it when talking to my classmates.....under any circumstances
But still depends on habit ha
Maybe that’s why stereotype of east Asian is too polite.
I also heard ppl say ‘you first’ in England, but that’s not my case.

Anyway many things r just out of habits of English-using environment

I also checked some discussions.
seems I won't use 'you go first' cuz of considering it sort of an order.
and I find it making sense for me when say 'after you' to strangers and 'you go first' to friends(but mostly I only use gestures lol

btw i still find it odd to always say 'please' when asking for sth, unless you wanna act like an old-schooled man\woman
just my feeling, no hard feeling (:

B21 haha but I am not in asia and i got the habit to use please after i moved abroad.
It’s like ‘can you pass me something please?’ Or someone offers me something I will say ‘yes, please’

cuz I only heard 'please' when bank or shop staff (esp the elderly) asking me to do sth
instead of using 'can you .....please', I think it's more common to use 'could', 'would', 'shall'
I stayed in the uk, even old-fashioned, polite-speaking brits don't use it

b14 yeah, “ after you”, this is basical but I just forgot it :O
Thank you for remind, it's excellent :)
