Let’s Study Together: Harvard’s CS50 2D Game Development Cohort! 🕹️

Hi everyone! I am looking to form a dedicated study group to go through CS50’s Introduction to 2D Game Development on edX. Standard online learning can get lonely, and it's easy to lose momentum when dealing with complex game mechanics. Let's form a structured cohort to hold each other accountable, review code, and build these games together. What the course covers: - The Frameworks & Tools: Game development using Lua and the LÖVE 2D framework. - Core Mechanics: Principles of 2D graphics, physics engines, animation, sound, and Axis-Aligned Bounding Box (AABB) collision detection. - The Projects: Deconstructing and rebuilding iconic game architectures like Pong, Flappy Bird, Breakout, Match 3, Super Mario Bros., and The Legend of Zelda. How our study group will work: - We will watch the lectures independently on edX. - We'll have a weekly check-in to discuss the logic, share insights, and debug our game projects. - Collaborative code reviews to make sure we are writing clean, idiomatic code. Whether you're a backend developer looking to understand graphics pipelines or a hobbyist wanting to build your own game engine, let's team up. Comment "Interested" or DM me directly to join the study group!
