我在前公司合作愉快的小主管，
去度假的時候人沒了。
非常震驚...因為前幾個月那個小主管
還跟我說他買了一台小飛機，
等我哪天去愛爾蘭找他，
他會帶著我搭飛機四處晃晃。
前公司的部門真的很特別，
成員雖然四散各國各地，
幾乎沒有跟其他團隊成員碰過面，
不過我們除了公事以外，
剩下的互動其實跟家人差不多。
這位小主管在營造這種氛圍上至關重要
放長假前的郵件，
小主管：
"我的連假計畫：Steam夏季特賣! 霍格華茲的傳承、使命召喚：二次大戰、FC24"
無形之中其實營造了非常輕鬆的氛圍。
甚至在我離職之前還說：
如果想回來上班，我一定會想辦法別擔心。
如今人說沒就沒了 :(
還是有點難以讓人接受...
因此我決定寫了一些追思文，
請前主管幫我代為轉達.....
好在是周五晚上在辦公室寫的，
至少偷偷掉淚不會被發現...

Dear ******'s Family,
I was deeply saddened to hear the passing of ******, our esteemed security lead at ###.
His dedication, leadership, and warm spirit left an indelible mark on me who had the privilege of working closely with him at ###.
Although we only team up for around 1 year, his insight and vision bolstered my confidence in security and become dauntless while facing challenges.
My first engagement with ****** was on mitigating a complexed IT security risk, by that time I had nearly zero knowledge to network security.
His guidance and expertise were invaluable - especially on networking with stakeholders and convincing them to collbaborate with us.
****** led with both wisdom and kindness. I’ll always remember the countless times when I hit strong push backs interacting with both ### and ### partners, he patiently shared his insights, and encouraged me to take a step back, looking into big picture and offered some guidance on those obstacles. I can never move toward with successful in the field of cybersecurity with out him.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, ****** had a way of making everyone feel seen and valued. Whether it was a quick chat in Zoom video or a thoughtful email, ******’s caring nature touched us all. I always eager visiting him in person in Ireland and having some drinks, please handover the pic of Sidecar to ****** - I owe him this one, this is what I can do for him as a bartender.
As we navigate this loss, let's also look into ******'s legacy— the security posture he strengthened, and the friendships he forged. ******’s memory will forever be intertwined with the fabric in my mind and the ####. Hope you find solace in the cherished memories you shared with ******. He will be deeply missed.
May we all live in harmony and peace find us all.
